Email Triggers

BasePeak.AI can receive inbound email and use it to trigger tasks. This is useful for workflows where you want an email to start an automated process — for example, processing a support request, routing a notification, or summarising incoming reports.

Email trigger support is currently limited to SendGrid Inbound Parse. If you need a different integration, contact BasePeak support.

How it works

When a message arrives at your workspace's configured email address, BasePeak.AI receives it via the SendGrid Inbound Parse webhook and forwards it to the task you have set up as the email handler.

Setting up email triggers requires coordination with the BasePeak team to configure the receiving domain. Once your domain is configured, you can wire tasks to respond to incoming email through the task configuration in the user interface.

Connecting a task to email

  1. Create or open a task in your project
  2. In the task's trigger settings, select Email as the trigger type
  3. Save the task — it will now activate whenever a matching email arrives

Limitations

  • Each workspace uses one receiving domain (configured by BasePeak)
  • Only the SendGrid Inbound Parse integration is currently supported
  • Email content (subject, body, attachments) is passed to the task as context
